Wedding Magician in Las Vegas

Cocktail hour is the hour you won't be there for. Strolling close-up magic keeps your guests entertained, talking to each other, and genuinely delighted — while you're off having your photos taken.

The Gap Nobody Plans For

Cocktail Hour Is Where Receptions Sag

Here is the part of the day nobody budgets for. The ceremony ends, the energy is high — and then you disappear for an hour of photographs and leave a hundred people holding a drink in a room where half of them are strangers.

Bride's college roommate meets groom's uncle. Neither knows what to say. Everyone checks their phone. By the time you walk back in, the room has gone flat and the reception has to start from a standstill.

Strolling magic solves exactly that hour. I work table to table and group to group — four or five people at a time, two or three minutes each — and the thing that happens isn't really about the magic. It's that strangers end up laughing at the same impossible thing at the same moment. They talk to each other afterwards. The room is warm when you walk back in.

Where else it works

Rehearsal dinners. Smaller, more relaxed, and usually the first time the two families are in a room together. Magic is a very efficient icebreaker.

During dinner service. Table to table between courses, so nobody is stuck waiting on the kitchen.

Bachelor and bachelorette parties. A different energy entirely — and a Las Vegas speciality. Bring the room somewhere it doesn't expect to go.

The practical part

Nothing needed from your venue or planner — no stage, no sound, no lighting, no setup, no floor space. I arrive dressed for your event and work the room. Fully insured at $100,000, certificate available if your venue asks.

Wedding coverage starts at $400. Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Before You Ask

Questions Worth Answering

When during the wedding does this work best?

Cocktail hour, almost always. It's the hour you're away being photographed and the hour most likely to go flat. Second best is table-to-table during dinner service, between courses.

How many guests can you cover?

In a two-hour cocktail reception I'll reach roughly 100 to 150 guests in groups of four or five. For much larger weddings we'd talk about a longer set or focusing on particular areas of the room.

Do you need anything from our venue or planner?

Nothing. No stage, no microphone, no sound system, no lighting, no setup time, no floor space. That's usually a relief to the coordinator.

What do you wear?

Dressed for your event — I'll match the dress code you give me. I'm there to blend into the evening, not to be a costume.

Are you insured?

Yes, $100,000 liability. Many Las Vegas venues require a certificate of insurance from every vendor and I can send one straight to your coordinator.

What does it cost?

Wedding coverage starts at $400 depending on duration, guest count and venue. Los Angeles weddings are quoted with travel included.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular Saturdays go early, especially in spring and autumn. If you have a date, it costs nothing to ask whether it's free.
